Texas Chamber Music Institute brings top-notch student musicians

The Texas Chamber Music Institute (TCMI) began its third year this week at the UTA Department of Music. Students from the entire state apply and audition for this highly-select, tuition-free camp. TCMI is designed for serious music student who is considering music as a college major and possible profession. If accepted into the institute, students are invited to attend a week of intense chamber music training with the UT Arlington string music faculty including Director of Orchestras, Dr. Clifton Evans, violin professor Dr. Martha Walvoord, viola professor Ms. Cathy Forbes, cello professor Ms. Keira Fullerton, and bass professor Dr. Jack Unzicker. TCMI will run through the end of the week and culminate in a final concert Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Irons Recital Hall.
